[New] Setting up your Mix and Match Bundle
The Mix and Match Bundle Builder in the Easy Bundle app allows merchants to create customizable product bundles. These bundles can be deployed either as a dedicated standalone landing page or integrated directly into an existing Shopify product page.
Initial Bundle Creation and Shopify Synchronization
- Action: The user clicks the Create Bundle button, inputs a name for the bundle, and clicks Create.
- System Logic: IF a bundle is created, THEN the system automatically generates a corresponding dummy product within the connected Shopify store using the identical name.
- Visibility Logic: By default, the automatically created Shopify product status is set to Unlisted. Customers cannot discover or access this product unless they possess the direct URL.
- Note: For detailed instructions on how to manage this dummy product, please refer to the dedicated Virtual Parent Product Configuration Video.
Template Selection
- Action: Upon entering the editor, the user selects a layout template from the available options.
- Layout Conditions:
- IF the user selects a Landing-page template, THEN the bundle will render on a unique, dedicated landing page.
- IF the user selects a Product-page mix and match template, THEN the bundle will render as an embedded component on a standard Shopify product page.
- Configuration: Customizations to these templates are managed via the right-side configuration panel.
Bundle Structure (Steps, Categories, and Products)
- Default State: The system automatically initializes the bundle with one default step inside the Build section.
- Product Addition: Users manually assign products to a step. When** **a product is added, the live editor immediately renders a real-time preview of the product on the bundle page.
- Multi-Category Logic: Users can add multiple product categories within a step, which dynamically updates the live preview.
- Multi-Step Logic: IF the user clicks the Add Step button, THEN the system generates an additional sequential step to create a multi-step bundle flow.
- Step Configurations: Step names and descriptions are modified using the right-side settings panel.
- Note: To understand the difference between Steps and categories and how to use them, please refer to the dedicated guide on Structuring Your Bundle: Steps vs. Categories
- Note: To configure restrictions on how many products can be selected from a specific step or category, please refer to the dedicated Bundle Rules Setup Video.
Discount Configuration
- Activation: Discounts are disabled by default. IF the user toggles the discount activation switch to ON, THEN the discount functionality is applied to the bundle.
- Display Logic: Users can selectively enable or disable individual discount display elements via specific UI toggles based on design preferences.
- Note: For a detailed breakdown of available discount types, trigger mechanisms, and display configurations, please refer to the dedicated Discount Setup Guide.
Advanced Features
- Pre-selected Products: Users can configure specific items to be automatically included in the bundle by default.
- Per-Product Limits: Users can set an explicit numerical limit to restrict how many times an identical product can be added to a single bundle.
- Note: For integrating up-sells, free gifts, or subscription models, please refer to the dedicated Add-ons, Free Gifts, and Subscriptions Video.
Design and Styling Customization
- Interface: Managed entirely within the Design section.
- Visual Logic: IF any changes are made to content labels, colors, font sizes, component styling, or button dimensions, THEN the changes reflect instantly inside the application's live preview editor.
- *Note: for more details on how to customize your bundle builder and all the customization options please refer to *the Mix and Match Bundle Templates and Customization Guide
Publishing and Deployment
- Action: Once configuration and testing are complete, the user navigates to the Publish section.
- System Logic: The bundle remains hidden from production UNTIL the user explicitly activates the live status within this section.
Constraints & Edge Cases
- Landing Page Banners: Banners can only be uploaded and displayed IF a Landing-page template is actively selected. This feature is unavailable for Product-page templates.
- Product Selection Restrictions: Customers cannot bypass a bundle step or complete checkout IF the selected items violate the quantity rules defined for that specific step or category.
- Custom Layout Limitations: IF a required design layout or functional mechanism is missing from the native bundle builder settings, THEN the user must contact the support team directly to request a custom development solution.
