# How to Publish a Pre-curated Bundle

# How to Publish and Display Pre-Curated Bundles

## 1. Overview
A Pre-Curated Bundle is a set group of products bundled together in the Easy Bundle app. When created, the app automatically generates a corresponding virtual parent product in Shopify. Bundles can be published and displayed as a standalone bundle product page, replaced onto an existing product page, or embedded on multiple product pages using upsell widgets and popups.

## 2. Prerequisites & Troubleshooting Display Issues

IF a created bundle does not appear or display correctly on the storefront:
1. Navigating to the Easy Bundle app home page and locate the pre-curated bundle.
2. Select **Edit** to open the bundle setup.
3. Check the Theme App Extension status.
4. IF the Theme App Extension is disabled:
   * Open the Shopify **Theme Editor**.
   * Locate and enable the **Easy Bundle** app extension.
   * Select **Save**.

## 3. Core Logic & Publishing Methods

### A. Testing & Previewing (Unlisted State)
* **Default State:** IF a bundle is created, THEN its status is **Unlisted** by default.
* **Visibility:** Unlisted bundles are hidden from store customers and will not appear in search results or collection pages.
* **Testing:** To preview the bundle, select **View bundle on store** from the bundle setup page.
* **Access Control:** IF a user possesses the unique preview link, THEN they can view the unlisted bundle storefront page.
### B. Publishing to the Default Virtual Product Page
When a pre-curated bundle is created, the app automatically creates a parent product within the Shopify Products admin menu.
* **Publishing Steps:**
  1. Go to the Bundle Setup page.
  2. Change the bundle status from **Unlisted** to **Active**.
  3. Select **Save**.
* **System Result:** The bundle becomes live and visible to customers on the newly generated Shopify virtual product page.

### C. Displaying Bundle on a Different (Single) Product Page
To display the bundle on a specific existing product page instead of the app-generated product page:
1. Open the Bundle **Settings**.
2. Select **Replace**.
3. Select the desired existing product from the list.
4. Select **Save**.
* **System Result:** The bundle replaces the original product content on the selected product page.

### D. Displaying Bundle on Multiple Existing Product Pages (Upsell Bundle)
To display the exact same bundle across multiple existing product pages simultaneously:
1. Go to the **Publish** tab within the bundle setup.
2. Locate the **Upsell Bundle** feature and select **Edit**.
3. Enable the widget toggle.
4. Select the specific product pages where the bundle widget should be displayed.
5. Select **Save**.

### E. Displaying as an Upsell Offer Widget or Popup
To present the bundle as an upsell prompt on specific product pages:
1. Go to the **Publish** tab within the bundle setup.
2. Locate the **Upsell Offer** feature and select **Edit**.
3. Enable the widget toggle.
4. Choose the target action when a user interacts with the offer:
   * **Option A:** Redirect the customer directly to the dedicated bundle page.
   * **Option B:** Open the bundle interface as an on-page modal popup.
5. Select the target product pages where the offer widget should appear.
6. Select **Save**.

## 4. Constraints & System Logic Summary

* **Virtual Product Dependency:** Pre-curated bundles rely on an automatically generated Shopify backend product. Deleting or altering this product outside the app may cause the default bundle display to fail.
* **Extension Prerequisite:** IF the Easy Bundle Theme Extension is not activated in the active Shopify theme, THEN no bundle widgets, popups, or dedicated bundle layouts will render on the storefront, regardless of whether the bundle status is set to **Active**.
* **Unlisted vs. Active Logic:**
  * `IF Status == "Unlisted"` Storefront public access is BLOCKED; accessible ONLY via direct preview link.
  * `IF Status == "Active"` Storefront public access is ALLOWED on configured product pages.
