# How to Set Up Discounts in Quantity Break Bundle 
This article covers the configuration, backend rules, and stacking logic for setting up tier-based volume discounts on quantity break bundles using Easy Bundles.


## 1. Overview
Quantity break discounts allow merchants to offer tiered savings (percentage-off or fixed amount-off) as customers add higher quantities of qualifying items to their bundle. Discounts apply strictly at the bundle level and are calculated dynamically based on configured tier thresholds.

## 2. Core Logic & Setup Procedure

**1.Navigate to Bundle Setup:**

1. Log in to your **Easy Bundles** home page.

2. Locate the quantity break bundle you want to modify.

3. Click the **Edit** icon to open its setup interface.

*Verification:* Confirm you are inside the correct bundle setup menu.


**2.Access Discount Tiers:**

1. Open the **Build** tab.

2. Locate the **Bundle tiers** section.

3. Click on the target tier you wish to configure (e.g., Tier 2).

*Verification:* Ensure the configuration options for that specific tier expand on the screen.


**3.Define Discount Type and Value:**

1. Select the discount type:

    * **Percentage off:** Deducts a percentage from the total price of qualifying bundle items.

    * **Amount off:** Deducts a fixed monetary amount from the total price of qualifying bundle items.

2. Enter the numerical value for your discount in the input field.

*Verification:* Check that the value entered matches your intended promotional structure.


**4.Save Configuration:**

1. Click **Save**.

*Verification:* Confirm that the settings save successfully.


## 3. System Rules & Calculation Logic

* **Scope of Discount:** IF a customer reaches a qualifying quantity break tier, THEN the applied discount calculates **strictly against the bundle items**. The discount does **NOT** apply to non-bundle items in the general shopping cart.
* **Storefront Publishing:** IF you click **Save** in the bundle setup, THEN the new discount logic updates live on the storefront immediately.

## 4. Constraints & Discount Stacking Rules

### Default Discount Stacking Behavior
By default, Easy Bundles quantity break discounts **do not stack** with standard Shopify store discount codes or other promotional codes at checkout.

**Solution:** IF you want quantity break discounts to stack with other promotions, THEN navigate to **Bundle setup** > **Settings** > **Discount settings** and explicitly enable one or more of the following options:

1. **Product discount:** Combines bundle discounts with individual product-level discounts.
2. **Order discount:** Combines bundle discounts with cart-level or order-level promotional codes.
3. **Shipping discount:** Combines bundle discounts with shipping promotional codes.
