# Cart Messaging in Mix & Match and Pre-curated Bundles

# Cart Messaging Configuration in Easy Bundle Builder


## Overview
Cart Messaging controls the metadata and visual breakdown of bundle items rendered inside the shopping cart drawer, cart page, and checkout line-item attributes. This feature allows merchants to display or hide four distinct line-item details: individual bundle items, original bundle price, personalization costs, and applied discount values.

## Core Logic & Functionality

**1.Navigate to App Settings:**
Log in to your Shopify admin panel and open the **Easy Bundle Builder** application. From the main dashboard menu, click **Settings**.


**2.Open System Settings:**
Under the **Common settings** section, click **Configure**. Next, select the **System** tab from the top navigation menu.


**3.Configure Cart Messaging Toggles:**
Locate the **Cart messaging** section. Toggle individual options **ON** or **OFF** according to your store preferences:


1. **Bundle Items:** Controls the display of individual products included inside the bundle.


2. **Original Bundle Price:** Controls the display of the pre-discount retail price.


3. **Personalization Cost:** Controls the display of personalization pricing within cart messaging.


4. **Discount Display:** Controls the display of total cost savings applied to the bundle.


*Note: All four toggles default to **ON** upon initial app installation.*


**4.Save and Verify Display:**
Save your changes. Verify the setup by adding a bundle to your cart and checking line-item attributes across the cart drawer, cart page, and checkout screen.

## Constraints & Edge Cases
* **Global Application:** Toggle settings apply universally to all line-item attributes across the cart drawer, standard cart page (`/cart`), and checkout flow.
* **Default State:** Upon app installation, all four toggles (**Bundle Items**, **Original Bundle Price**, **Personalization Cost**, and **Discount Display**) default to **ON**.
* **Third-Party Side Carts:** The messaging script functions automatically out-of-the-box for almost all Shopify themes. **IF** your store uses a third-party side cart and messaging fails to render, **THEN** reach out to our support team for assistance.
